Cihuatán Alux is a limited edition rum inspired by the Mayan legend of the Aluxes, the country’s patron gods. According to Mayan beliefs, these gods lived in corn and cocoa fields, as these were considered the most sacred gifts on earth. At the beginning of each harvest season, the Maya held a spectacular feast full of rich delights of chocolate and corn in gratitude to the Aluxes. As a gift to these patron gods, Cihuatán created this rum with notes of vanilla, cashews, ginger, cinnamon sticks, roasted corn and chocolate mousse. This rum is a limited edition, and has been given the final finish in ex-Oloroso & ex-Cognac casks.

Aroma: Corn, hot cocoa, barley, cinnamon sticks, ginger.
Taste: Dark chocolate, rice pudding, caramel, allspice, nutmeg.
Finish: Long finish, chocolate, oak character.
