Born from a conversation and the founders Ger and Dennis’ past as trawlermen off the coast of West Cork, comes this masterful single mal in a rather unique vintage fishing-float glass bottle! On the palate, this one offers all those expected vanilla, fresh fruit, and honey tones with some roasted flavours from the rum maturation of coffee, toast, and chocolate.
West Cork Rum Cask Single Malt Irish Whiskey is patiently matured in first fill bourbon casks and finished in Consorcio Licorero Nacional Rum Casks.
Aroma: Notes of honey, vanilla. Caramel and chocolate on the nose. Slight fruit, but more a combination of fresh and dried.
Taste: Roasted flavours like coffee, toast and chocolate coming through, with a dry finish.
