In the glass, Henri Ehrhart Pinot Gris appears fresh with ripe fruit such as plum, pear, citrus and honey. The wine is full-bodied with lovely fruit and a well-integrated acidity. The finish is fruity with a good structure.
Henri Ehrhart Pinot Gris is a good match for grilled or pan-fried fish. Try it also for spicy dishes with oriental or Indian spices.

Manufacturing

Henri Ehrhart Pinot Gris is made from the grape of the same name. The grape is known by several names depending on where it is grown. The French Pinot Gris grape often results in wines with sweetness and fullness, as the grapes are harvested later and therefore contain more sugar.

Henri Ehrhart is the only family-owned winery among the top 10 wineries in Alsace.

Maison Henri Ehrhart: In the 70s, Henri Ehrhart bought 4 hectares of vineyards around the small picturesque town of Ammerschwihr approx. 8 km. west of Colmar – the “capital” of Alsatian wines. Over the years, the family company has grown to be the fifth largest producer of Alsatian wines with 7 million bottles annually, and the company is today run by son Cyrille Ehrhart.

With their own winery and bottling plant in Ammerschwihr and with the very latest technology, the Ehrhart family has control over the quality of their wines and can bottle the wines at exactly the right time.

The Ehrhart family has a finger on both the French and international pulse, and the company is adept at adapting to consumers’ tastes in wine.
