Louis Roque La Vieille Prune is a classic and exclusive French eau-de-vie made from carefully selected plums and distilled using traditional methods in the town of Souillac, in southwestern France. This fruit spirit is a true artisanal product from Distillerie Louis Roque, a family-owned distillery founded in 1905 and still operated with a strong dedication to craftsmanship and quality.

The production begins with three varieties of plums: Ente, Mirabelle, and Reine-Claude. These are fermented and gently double-distilled before the spirit is aged for 4–5 years in 400-liter oak barrels. The result is a rich and complex eau-de-vie with no added sugar.

La Vieille Prune offers an intense and inviting aroma with notes of dried plums, marzipan, and subtle spices. On the palate, it is smooth and layered, revealing hints of raisins, licorice root, wood, and warm oriental spices. The finish is long, soft, and fruity – a perfect digestif after a fine meal.

Each bottle is beautifully presented, hand-labeled, and sealed with wax – a testament to its artisanal origins. Best enjoyed at room temperature in a tulip-shaped glass to fully appreciate its aromas, it can also be used in elegant, sophisticated cocktails.
