Wonderfully complex whiskey with fine notes of roasted nuts, oak, rose petals, vanilla, orange peel, raisins and warming spices and hints of stone fruit. The aging in sherry casks does not deny itself – not even in the full mouthfeel, where black pepper, nutmeg and cloves present themselves in a round sweetness. A long aftertaste leaves you only slowly with fine spices and vanilla.
About Nantou Distillery
Nantou Distillery is located in Nantou Hsien in Taiwan and was founded by the Taiwan Tobacco & Liquor Corporation in 1978. However, it was not until 2008 that Nantou Distillery produced its first whiskey. Nantou Distillery currently has four stills made by Forsyths in Rothes in Speyside, Scotland. The hot and humid climate in Taiwan means that the famous “Angel’s Share” is around 5% per year
