Sixth Sense Syrah 75 CL

Michael David Winery – USA

FULL AND JUICY

AMERICAN WINERY OF THE YEAR 2020 – WINE ENTHUSIAST! The wine leaves an emphatic impression – super juicy, magnificent and fruity.

Good at:
Lamb

Sixth Sence Syrah is a bombardment of fruit, where especially plum and blackcurrant are dominant, but also with a fine touch of mulberry and slightly spicy undertones from the 12 months aging in French oak barrels. A full-bodied and super-concentrated, juicy wine that ends with velvety tannins.

Sixth Sence Syrah stimulates all the body’s senses: “I smell with my nose a classic black rose, a lingering memory that is fleetingly revealed. Through shadows and lies I see with my eyes a secret shrouded in disguise revealed. My anxiety escalates as I hear with my ears three tears falling and echoing softly. I taste with my tongue my panic began as four sides merged into one. I feel with my hands a dim plane, five fingers feel their way to my hiding place. My brain catches an unpleasant thought, – I am trapped in a bottle of wine.”

Enjoy the wine for e.g. dishes with light meat or with a selection of cheeses.

Serving temperature: 16-18°C

Manufacturing

Lodi is located in California’s Central Valley wine region, an area characterized by well-drained soils and an almost Mediterranean climate. Cool morning fog and warm daytime hours with a lot of sun exposure are optimal conditions for the grapes. The climatic conditions in the area mean that the grapes ripen slowly and thus achieve high intensity and a lovely fruity character. The two brothers planted their first Syrah field in California in 1982. When Michael Phillips’ son Kevin, as the 6th generation, followed in his father’s footsteps, it was precisely this field that he was first given responsibility for. 6th Sense Syrah is made from the Syrah grape mixed with a bit of Petite Sirah. On the back label you will find Kevin’s eye peering out from inside the bottle to make sure the wine is being enjoyed.
