Plantation Rum – Isle of Fiji 70 cl. 40%

It is with great pleasure we can present the latest addition to Plantations “Signature Blends” series: Isle of Fiji! We have long been enormously enthusiastic about the rumble of the South Pacific Distillery in Fiji, and Plantations Edition plays at all the right keys, while a fine sweetness (16 grams of sugar per liter) make it easy to go to, also for beginners.

The room is composed of components distilled on both pot stills and coffey still, and it is stored first on bourbon dish, so as to get plantations characteristic “finish” on cognac dishes. It all hangs incredibly well together, and we must once again true that this totally underestimated distillery gives most of its Caribbean competitors fight for the line.
Color: deep amber.
Fragrance: Fruity and spicy, “funky” – but not quite as wild as Jamaica. Notes of honey, molasses, raisins, ginger, banana and pineapple.
Taste notes: The taste is rich and sweet. Beautiful oiled mouthfeel, again with notes of ginger, warm spices and molasses, hints of smoke and saw this ran backbone of tropical fruit: mango, pineapple and orange.
Serving suggestions: Can be enjoyed clean or in cocktails.
