Kopke Port – 20 Years Old White 37,5 cl. 20%

A true rarity from Kopke, the specialist in barrel-aged port wines. Old casks of white port wine of varying ages are put together for this gem with an aromatic profile like a 20-year-old white port wine. As the port wine is only made from green grapes, the aging is felt to a particular degree, as the imprint of the grapes is less visible in the aroma picture than a corresponding tawny.

Aroma and taste are an explosion of currants, pickled citrus peel, dried apricot, nuts, light syrup and Crème Brûlée. An excellent acidity keeps the sweetness in check and gives a harmonious whole.

Enjoyed at approx. 12-16°, i.e. slightly cooler than the other barrel-aged port wines.
