A lovely bottling from the popular Italian brandy distillery, Vecchia Romagna.
Spirits have been produced in two types of stills: a continuous column still and a traditional Charentais-style alembic, which necessitates batch stills. This expression contains a blend of brandy aged in three different types of casks. The oldest of these brandies has been aged for up to 15 years. The three cask varieties are: French oak casks, large Slavic oak casks and tonneaux, casks which previously held Italian red wine.
The final product is a wonderfully fruity and sweet brandy that offers notes of candied apricots, cloves, pressed violets, vanilla, honey, spiced oak, coffee, orange peel, red grapes, wine tannins, pastry and dark chocolate.
A truly impressive bottling from the world’s best-selling Italian brandy house.
Perfect as an accompaniment to coffee as it has a little more sweetness than e.g. Cognac.
