Derived from the barrel-aged L’Expression, L’Expression 45 is a powerful yet harmonious rum aged in new French oak casks, then in former Cognac casks, after which it has been bottled at 45%, giving a soft taste and a refined aromatic flavor and aroma palette.
About Karukera
When Christopher Columbus set foot in Guadeloupe in November 1493, it was in a place the locals called Karukera. A town was later founded here – a town where the island’s oldest distillery now produces a rum which bears the historic name, Karukera – one of the better rums in the whole of the French West Indies. The warm climate ensures rapid maturation with development of the rum’s aromas before it is stored in the distillery’s own cellars.
