José Cuervo Especial Silver Tequila 70 CL 38%

Blue Agave – Jalisco Mexico 38%

In 1795, the King of Spain granted José Antonio de Cuervo the first concession ever to produce Tequila commercially. This particular event marked the birth of Tequila. The Jose Cuervo® recipe and process has been passed down and maintained by a family of entrepreneurs, inventors and risk takers. It’s no wonder why Jose Cuervo® is the most awarded family of Tequila in history.

Cuervo® Silver is made with blue agave harvested from the family estate, the largest agave grower in all of Mexico. With its rich volcanic soil, abundant pure spring water and temperate climate, the highest quality blue agave is transformed into a Tequila that is clean, crisp and smooth.

Jose Cuervo Silver Especial is a pure, clear, colorless tequila. It can be used in cocktails, but can also be drunk as a shot.

The family-owned business, José Cuervo, was founded in 1795 by José Maria Guadalupe de Cuervo. José Cuervo is the world’s first tequila producer, and for more than 250 years, the company has been producing tequila using the same traditional methods as when it all started. A careful selection of the very best agaves, careful fermentation, distillation and processing have created the world’s finest and best-selling tequila.
The Mexican government has set some standards for what tequila is and how it should be made. These standards are called Normas, and every bottle of real tequila has a so-called NOM No. (Normas Oficiales Mexicanas). José Cuervo has the NOM numbers 1104 and 1122, which indicate which distillery the tequila is made at.
