The story behind Botica is that story was exciting, especially the part about Christopher Heirwegh who is from Antwerp in Belgium. He seemed to the family’s Petrus Ludovicus Oscar Nalin, who had a herbal shop together with Maria Josephina Poppe in Antwerp at the beginning of the 19th century. In their herb, among other things, a local spirit that had a secret recipe and was called: “De Meesterlijke Christopher therefore wanted to revive the many years of cava produced in Spain, and old recipe “De Meesterlijke shop, sold de Formule”. Formula” in a new gin series. He has therefore it was natural that the actual production of the gin should take place in Spain, specifically just outside Barcelona.
