FEW Bourbon 70 cl. 46,5%

American Bourbon

A really nice bourbon whiskey from Few in Chicago, made at 70% locally grown corn, 20% rye and 10% barley. The fermented with a carefully selected yeast strain, which is usually used for Saison beer, which FEW says gives a pricey, spicy character. It really harmonizes the bourbon’s vanilla beds and light caramels. A stain shot from Chicago If just since Michael Jordan’s Game-Winner against Utah Jazz in the NBA final in 1998!

Color: dark amber.
Fragrance: Ah, the right notes of candy sugar and brown farin, molten butter, a sense of apple cake, vanilla rod, pepper and popcorn.
Taste notes: On the tongue is the whiskey round and soft – no alcohol sticks out – but with lots of taste. Notes of cinnamine sugar, corn, vanilla and cherry. The aftermake is relatively long, spicy and with pleasant dryness.

Serving suggestions: Can be enjoyed clean or in cocktails, such as Old Fashioned or Boulevardiers.

Few Spirits is a “Grain-to-Glass” distillery in Chicago, Illinois. The designation is the proud of – to be hands on throughout the process is not everyday life in modern whiskey landscape. Few was started in 2011 by Paul Hlemko. His grandparents owned a brewery in the Czech Republic, which was “seized” by the Nazis during World War II, and to honor their memory he also went into the alcohol industry. However, it should not be quite the same, because Paul always seeks to new horizons, so he started instead a distillery in Evanston – and despite the fact that this city was the center of the fight against alcohol under the prohibition. In fact, the city was pulled up to 1972! Few Spirits became the first legal alcohol production in the city ever.

The small distillery houses three pot stills, and both Bourbon, Rye, Single Malt and a variety of gins – all with quality and the good craft in mind.
