DICTADOR TWO MASTERS RUM 41% Chateau d’Arche 1979 is produced in a collaboration between Jérôme Cosson, Celler Master at Sauternes Chateau D’Arche and Hernan Parra, Master Blender at Dictador.

The rum is aged primarily at Dictador in Columbia, but also at Chateau D’Arche in old sauternes casks (American oak) from Quintessence for 34 months. A total of 237 bottles have been produced, numbered 1-237.

Delicious notes of chocolate-covered, candied orange peel, summer fruits and ripe plums. The orange turns into almost ginger-like notes, backed by vanilla. There is also a hint of leather. The mouth offers nuances of French pancakes (think flambéed Crepes Suzette), tangerine and red apples, as well as an underlying note of forest floor and grape fruit that elevates the rum elegantly. The rum has a good balance between the forest floor notes and the degree of sweetness, which gives a long finish. Here the candied orange notes really come to the fore and are helped along by pear notes and a bit of smoked oak. A really nice rum, of which we unfortunately only got a few bottles to Denmark.

Dictador is a Colombian rum producer whose strong roots date back to 1913, when the company was founded under the name Destilería Colombiana by Don Julio Aango y Parra.
