The rum is aged primarily at Dictador in Columbia, but also at Chateau D’Arche in old sauternes casks (American oak) from Quintessence for 34 months. A total of 237 bottles have been produced, numbered 1-237.
Dictador is a Colombian rum producer whose strong roots date back to 1913, when the company was founded under the name DestilerĂa Colombiana by Don Julio Aango y Parra.
Dictador is located in Cartagena in northern Colombia, facing the Caribbean Sea. Through its many years of operation, the house has continually refined its production, its recipes and its storage methods, and today Dictador belongs among the elite of quality producers in both rum and gin.
The secret behind the unique products from Dictador lies in the Parra family (Hernan Parra), who are the 3rd generation of master blenders at Dictador. For the Parra family, rum is not just rum, but an art form that is continuously developed and improved. It’s art in a bottle. Try it yourself and experience the Colombian treasure in liquid form.
