California’s Mediterranean climate and fertile soils have provided the grapes for Seven Deadly Chardonnay.
The grapes are allowed to ripen in peace and quiet without significant threats. During the day they are exposed to lots of sun and at night the temperature drops. The best grapes are brought to the winery, where they are destemmed and pressed. The grape skin lies in the must to extract the fine aromas of crisp green apples. Fermentation takes place partly in stainless steel tanks and partly with oak for 4-6 months.

Transport of wine in bulk from the country of origin to bottling in Denmark constitutes a significantly reduced CO2 load compared to wine imported in bottles. In recognition of the reduced CO2 footprint, but also the assurance of the wine’s quality as well as the economic advantages of transporting wine in bulk, bulk wine forms an ever-increasing part of our business. Our 7 Deadly wines come from the Lodi area (pronounced Lohd-eye) east of the big city of San Francisco close to the Sacramento River. Lodi is located in California’s Central Valley wine region, an area characterized by well-drained soils and an almost Mediterranean climate. The area offers cool morning fog and warm daytime hours with a lot of sun exposure.
