Althea Prosecco Superiore Extra Dry is an elegant Valdobbiadene Prosecco made from Glera grapes grown on the rolling hills of Conegliano–Valdobbiadene in Veneto. The mineral-rich slopes and relatively cool climate give a sparkling wine with freshness, fruit and a finely balanced profile. As an Extra Dry style, it has a touch more residual sweetness than a Brut, which makes it particularly soft, round and approachable.

In the glass it shows a straw-yellow colour with greenish hues and a fine, persistent perlage. The nose is fresh and fruity, offering notes of green apple, pear, citrus and a hint of white flowers. On the palate the mousse is creamy, the fruit juicy and the acidity lively yet well integrated, with a gentle hint of sweetness on the finish that creates a smooth, harmonious impression. Althea Prosecco Superiore Extra Dry is ideal as an aperitif, for receptions and parties, and pairs very well with seafood, sushi, salads, light dishes and classic antipasti. Serve at 6–8 °C in a tulip-shaped glass.

The producer, Azienda Agricola Althea, is a family-run winery located in the heart of the Conegliano–Valdobbiadene hills. The estate was founded in 2003 by Marika Drusian, who comes from a family with a long winemaking tradition. She replanted the vineyards around the property near Vittorio Veneto to build a modern, quality-driven winery with a strong sense of place. Althea is specialised in Prosecco Superiore in various styles, complemented by a small selection of Prosecco DOC and other sparkling wines. Hand-harvested grapes, careful work in the vineyards and a focus on freshness, pure fruit and elegance are the hallmarks of every bottle.
