Woodford Double Oaked is, as the name suggests, aged in two different types of casks. The first is a traditional charred barrel and the second is a heavily toasted lightly charred barrel which is said to impart a softer, sweeter oak flavor. This bourbon has won quite a few awards over the last few years, most recently in the form of a double gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and has proven what it’s made of.
