Classic Riesling from the heart of Alsace from the top shelf. Aroma of citrus, lime peel, green apples, fresh pears, white tea and fresh flowers. In the mouth it is acidic, has plenty of minerality and a discreet fruity sweetness. The intensity is high on this wine, so give it some air or leave it for 3-4 years and you will have an even wilder experience.
The scent is aromatic with notes of white flowers, bergamot, stone fruit and citrus peel. The taste is nicely balanced with notes of orange blossom, lemon peel, white peach, bergamot and flint. The aftertaste is long with an exquisite mineral finish. Perfect as an aperitif, on the terrace or with dishes such as barbecue, pasta, oily fish, rice dishes etc.
A nice and elegant Riesling made from grapes from the Grand Cru field Florimont. The grapes are grown 100% organically and biodynamically in calcareous and clayey soil, which helps to give the wine its beautiful, mineral expression.
About Domaine de L’Envol
Domaine de l’Envol is located in the beautiful city of Colmar in the heart of Alsace; a region that has alternately been in French and German hands throughout history. The German influence is evident in everything from culture to gastronomy – and wine.Domaine de l’Envol was founded in 2016 and since the beginning has had a strong focus on terroir-based wines and works based on the highly varying soil. Hereby, natural production principles are used to achieve the purest expression and best reflection of the terroir. Domaine de l’Envol is the result of the union of two previous domains. The house’s vineyards stretch over 21 hectares and span a 15 kilometer radius around the winery. This allows the family to work with a variety of soil types and traditional Alsace grape varieties such as Riesling, Sylvaner, Muscat and Gewürztraminer. All grapes are hand-harvested and spontaneously fermented, with only a hint of sulfur added to bottling. All vineyards are cultivated based on organic and biodynamic principles.
