This single malt was first matured in ex-bourbon casks and later finished in heavily toasted STR casks.
Nose:
Medium peated with sweet aromas of Finnish liquorice, sea salt, and gentle campfire smoke.
Palate:
Sweet liquorice and soft smoke take the lead, followed by layers of spice and hints of ripe fruit towards the finish.

Isle of Fionia Peated is our Danish, organic interpretation of a fine peated whisky.
Made from 100% peat-smoked malt (35 ppm), it first matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, before being transferred to STR wine casks. The result is a medium-peated whisky with pleasant sweetness, well-balanced complexity, and subtle notes of iodine, liquorice, and toffee.
Isle of Fionia Peated is a young, smoky single malt bottled at a slightly higher strength than our other whiskies – 48% ABV – which we believe brings out its character at its best.
Crafted from medium-peated organic malt, it offers a smooth yet distinctly smoky flavour. Initially aged in former Jack Daniel’s bourbon casks and later partially finished in STR wine casks made from European oak, this whisky demonstrates beautifully why peat expressions often shine brightest in their youth – the smoke remains clear, vivid, and full of life.
