Meukow Vanilla 70 CL 30%

Liqueur Au Cognac de France

Anne Sarteaux has been a basement master of Cognachuset Meukow since 2007, and she is known to cherish traditions and quality. However, the house is also quite innovative, which among other things. Their popular Expresso and vanilla-liqueurs witness. Anne favors Cognac from fine champagne, consisting of Grande and Petite Champagne Crus because of their complex, floral character and Bons Bois, Fins Bois and Borderies, for their woody and fruity aromas.

Meukow Vanilla is manufactured by infusing Meukow vs cognac with natural vanilla extract. It is tapped at 30% ABV instead of the 40% ABV required to be called a cognac. This to give a milder taste where everyone can be with.

Just vanilla plays immensely fine with Meukow’s cognacs that are already vanilla-characterized from the extra fleet ring.

In the nose there is vanilla, but there are still plenty of leather and plums from the cognac in the background.

The finish is surprisingly long, still with vanilla, but eventually the cognac tones are clearly forward. You can fear that it becomes too much and too sweet, but Meukow has found a really nice balance, and this just tastes terrific!
