About Knut Hansen
The first Knut Hansen gin was actually made already in 2016 in the living room of the private house, but already in 2017 the two young men could start bottling and in 2019 the Germans could open their own distillery in Hamburg. Knut Hansen Dry Gin is now sold in over 30 countries.
In a complex process, Knut Hansen gin is distilled four times in small portions with an extremely slow infusion of energy and then bottled in the unmistakable ceramic bottles.
At Knut Hansen, a lot of effort is made to trace exactly from which cultivation the individual ingredients are obtained, and great emphasis is placed on using local botanicals from the region. For example, the apples come from Altes Land south of the Elbe, the rose flowers from Ostseedeich and the cucumber and basil from Hamburg’s weekly market.
