Until the beginning of the 20th century, the Hampden distillery kept its casks in the “Great House” where they waited before being shipped to Europe or America.
Released each year and only available at the distillery itself and in select markets, Great House is a limited edition bottling that pays tribute to this legendary mansion that is part of the distillery’s history and heritage.
The blend has different brands and vintages that evolve with each annual edition. Each new blend aims to highlight a different aspect of the rich and diverse Hampden aromatic profile.
The 2022 edition is a blend of medium and high ester marks, revealing a lively and intense profile that lingers, with notes of white fruits and floral aromas.
Colour: Clear Golden.
Scent: Lively and smooth. Candied citrus, ripe banana, lychee, kiwi, rhubarb and vanilla.
Taste: Intense and medicinal. Notes of tobacco, gentian root, salted caramel, freeze-dried raspberries and cherries.
Serving suggestion: Should be enjoyed neat. Possibly. with a few drops of water.
