Glenfiddich 12 Years 5 CL 40%

Single Malt Scotch Whisky

One of the all-time classics that every whiskey lover has somewhere in their collection is Glenfiddich 12, a whiskey with a grainy floral aroma and hints of honey, orchard and a citrus twang on the finish. The floral palate is light and smooth. A really nice dram.

William Grant & Sons owns the Glenfiddich distillery in the iconic town of Dufftown, located in the heart of Scotland, Speyside. This 12-year-old bottling is the distillery’s best-known product, which is no wonder, as it ranks in the top 3 of the world’s best-selling single malts. It is aged in a mixture of Oloroso sherry casks and ex-bourbon casks for a minimum of 12 years, before being collected in oak tuna casks, resulting in a harmonious and elegant whiskey that shows Glenfiddich’s traditional Speyside profile from the younger side, where the whole character shines through. It has very prominent notes of pears and delicate oak, but offers more complexity than the age might suggest. Notes of pear, vanilla, elderflower, and a floral sweetness go hand in hand with the primary notes, and you can easily understand why it sells so well.
