Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin With Sardinian Citrus is a bright, aromatic Irish gin that marries the classic Gunpowder style with a distinctly zesty Mediterranean twist. A juniper-led base is layered with exotic/oriental botanicals and the signature gunpowder tea (green tea), adding a refined dryness and gentle spice. The expression is lifted by Sardinian citrus (Citrus monstruosa), bringing a vibrant citrus character that can feel like a cross between orange, grapefruit and lemon, with an elegant, slightly bitter edge.
Nose & palate: Fresh citrus up front with juniper, soft herbs and spice. On the palate it’s lively and rounded: juniper and spice first, followed by a clear citrus burst. The tea note and botanicals build complexity through the finish, which stays long, clean and subtly dry with a lingering citrus bitterness.
