About Del Professore Vermouth di Torino Rosso
Created by famed mixologist Leonardo Leuci in 2013, Del Professore Vermouth di Torino Rosso pays tribute to the pioneering work of the father of American mixology, Jerry Thomas, and embodies authentic Piedmontese tradition with its harmonious balance of flavors and unmistakable aroma.
Tasting Notes for Del Professore Vermouth di Torino Rosso
An amber color with gold hints. On the nose balsamic and mentholated aromatic notes, gently spiced with citrus notes. Soft and full on the palate, with a pleasantly bitter and smooth finish of rhubarb and gentian. A warming, long, and lingering finish that does not give up.
Suggested Serves
Enjoy Vermouth di Torino Rosso chilled in a wine glass with a touch of citrus zest, or enhance classic cocktails like the Americano or Boulevardier with the taste of Piedmontese artemisia and wine.
Production Notes
Produced strictly in the Italian way, this authentic Italian vermouth is made with a base of 100% Italian red and white wines, following strict Geographical Indication (G.I) regulations. Carefully selected local herbs from the rolling hills of Langhe and the sun-kissed Mediterranean coasts meet spices of exotic origin to create a liquid that is immediately recognizable in every cocktail. All ingredients are carefully selected and controlled for quality consistency. While many, like Artemisia, come from the Piedmont region, wormwood grows in the high-lying pastures of the nearby Alps, and others are sourced from Italy’s Mediterranean regions. Using maceration, cold pressing, percolation, and other methods, the master blender specifically prepares each signature extract to preserve its aromatics. The Vermouth is bottled in small batches in a local Piedmontese distillery, with premium packaging inspired by traditional vermouth labels.
