A worthy representative of the Médoc appellation, which with its dry, elegant and precise style is a lovely food wine, when not only the wine has to be ‘classic French’.
Château Tour Saint-Bonnet is a Cru Bourgeois castle located in St. Christoly, right on the Gironde River. Château Fuie Saint-Bonnet is the castle’s ‘2’. wine’, i.e. not quite the same high level as the first wine, but still a lovely wine and, on the other hand, a somewhat more palatable price and not least good value-for-money.
On gravelly fields, cabernet sauvignon and merlot are mainly grown, but also a bit of the, for the area, rarer petit verdot and malbec.
The aroma and taste offer a mixture of blackcurrants, wild berries and some currants with spicy elements of tea and cedar in the finish.
Château la Fuie Saint-Bonnet is a dry, elegant wine with a good, long aftertaste that will be a suitable accompaniment to not too heavy dishes with poultry, veal, beef or lamb.
We recommend a serving temperature of approx. 17°.
The wine can be enjoyed now and up to a few years in the future.
