About the manufacturer

In 1840, Anthon Brøndum founded his distillery in Snaregade in Copenhagen. Brøndum’s Snaps have roots back to this year. In connection with the founding, Brøndum Kummensnaps was launched, and it is thus the oldest still existing schnapps in Denmark. From 1840 to 1884, the distillery was in the hands of the Brøndum family.

Brøndum Kummen Akvavit is one of the oldest akvavits in Denmark and contains flavors of caraway, star anise, cinnamon, orange etc. due to the high alcohol content and the spicy taste, the aquavit should be served chilled.
