Ardbeg is a whiskey distillery on the south coast of the Scottish island, Islay. The island is known for its heavily smoked whiskeys, and ardbbeg is no exception with a ppm that is usually around 55. The distiller was founded in 1815 and the dark green bottles with the sealed and delightful Maltwhisky from the ARDBeg has been incredibly popular. The capacity is 1.4 million liters of pure alcohol a year and ardbbeg running for full steam. Extensions are planned which will increase the capacity of 2.4 million liters, which is a good idea for Ardegmanien not wanting to take end.

Many of Ardbeg’s single casks and the distillates from around the 1970s, where Hiram Walker owned the distillery is legendary today. It is not often you see the whiskey in independent decants, and such releases are almost as coveted as the official bottling
