Crisp, nuanced taste with sweetness, hints of dried fruit, brown sugar, orange and walnuts.

Serve slightly chilled at around 12 °C in its own majesty after a good meal or with creamy pastries made of chocolate and/or nuts. Also good with well-aged nutty hard cheese.

Miles was founded in 1878 in Madeira. Since 1913, Miles has been part of the Madeira Wine Company, an association of several Madeira producers to jointly strengthen their purchasing power and the opportunity to improve their winemaking. Regardless of size and style, it was now as then important that each producer was allowed to work to maintain the unique character of Madeira. Miles are specialists in the Tinta Negra grape.

The wine is finished and ready to drink, but can be stored for many years. Madeira is very durable, without problems it lasts 18 months in an opened bottle.

Madiera is a small volcanic island where only about 500 hectares of viticulture. The vines grow on steep terraces and are harvested by hand. During winemaking, the wine is heated for a long time, so-called estufagem, which gives Madiera its characteristic nutty and slightly burnt style. Madiera – “the baked wine”! A unique wine! Unlike most other wines, Madeira keeps excellently in an opened bottle, 18 months is no problem.
