French Everyday Favourites is the wine case for anyone looking for white wines that are easy to enjoy, versatile with food and clearly French in style. It brings together fresh Riesling and aromatic Gewürztraminer from Alsace with lively Sauvignon Blanc, rounded Chardonnay, fresh Colombard-Sauvignon and charming Chenin Blanc from the Loire with a soft demi-sec character.
Together, they create a varied case that works just as well for simple weekday dinners as it does for seafood, fish, salads, sushi, Asian-inspired dishes, lighter meat dishes and long lunches when you want to open something good without making things complicated.
A fresh and crisp Riesling from Alsace with notes of pear, green apple, citrus, lime blossom and a light mineral touch, giving the wine both energy and classic regional character. It is an excellent match for fish, seafood, sushi and as an aperitif when you want something lively, elegant and refreshing. The wine is made from Riesling grown in the family’s own vineyards and is produced and bottled in Ammerschwihr, allowing close control over both style and quality.
An aromatic and generous Gewürztraminer from Alsace with notes of lychee, rose, ripe peach, exotic fruit and warm spices. The wine has a rounded and full-bodied style, while still retaining enough freshness to feel balanced and food-friendly. It pairs especially well with Asian dishes, spicy food, pâté, foie gras, mature cheeses and dishes where you want a white wine with more aroma, body and personality.
A clean and approachable Sauvignon Blanc with a fresh aroma of citrus and grapefruit, followed by a soft, delicate palate with plenty of fruit and a pleasant finish. This is a highly versatile wine for fish, seafood, salads and other light dishes where you want freshness without overly sharp acidity. After harvest, the grapes are pressed, the must is cooled, and fermentation takes place at controlled temperature to preserve the grape’s fresh and fruity expression.
A dry yet generous Chardonnay with notes of lemon, ripe fruit and vanilla, where a subtle touch of oak adds roundness without dominating. The palate is full yet well balanced, making the wine especially suitable for fish, seafood, white meat, dishes with creamy sauces and lightly spiced food. The grapes come from vineyards east of Carcassonne, are carefully harvested, gently pressed and vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks before the wine receives a restrained oak influence prior to bottling.
An aromatic and refreshing white wine with notes of lemon, grapefruit, elderflower, blackcurrant leaf, freshly cut grass and a small tropical hint of passion fruit. The style is dry, lively and very easy to enjoy, making it perfect for sushi, smoked salmon, green salad with fresh goat cheese, prawn sandwiches and lighter fish dishes. The wine is a blend of Colombard and Sauvignon Blanc, cold-fermented in stainless steel tanks and then aged on tank with the lees to preserve freshness, aromatics and texture.
A charming and juicy Loire wine where a gentle touch of sweetness creates lovely balance. The nose offers tropical fruit, apricot, pear and honey, while the palate is generous and fruity with subtle notes of fennel and anise. It pairs very well with Asian dishes, spicy food, chicken, pâté, mature cheeses or simply as a soft and inviting glass on its own. The wine is made from 100 percent Chenin Blanc from Benoît Gautier’s best parcels in Vouvray, hand-harvested, spontaneously fermented with natural yeast and then aged sur lie for four months in stainless steel tank for added complexity.
