A.H. Riise Rome is a tribute to one of the most entreprenean Danes, Albert Heinrich Riise, who with great success drove his pharmacy in Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas in the period 1838 to 1878.
The new A.H. Riise Port Cask Finish Rome is composed of more than 15 different exquisite Rome distillates with an average age of 20 years, which are all specially selected by our basement master.
The finished Rome has subsequently got a dish finish storage for 6 months on a Port Vin’s dish (pipe) from the known house Cálem.
The production of this luxury room is severely limited. Each dish is specially selected and bottled individually, in the hand of our Master Distiller.
All bottles are labeled with an individual bottle number as well as bottling years.
Fragrance.
Vanilla and yellow fruits, like pineapple and banana come first, but downstairs there is a layer of more dry red fruits, and you sense the influence of Port Wine
Taste
The yellow and red fruits continue into the taste with tobacco and cedar
Aftertaste
Fed and long with a harmonious dry chocolate-like, lightly spicy taste with a good fruity end with complex toner of forest berries and port wine
