The wine is intense cherry red with garnet red markings. The aroma is intense with candied fruit, sweet spices and finely integrated wood from barrel aging. On the palate, the wine is flavorful, powerful and fruity with ripe tannins. Aromatic and complex.
Enjoy the wine with all types of meat or roast, especially from the grill. The wine is also lovely with cheese.

Manufacturing
For the wines that need to mature a little longer, Valderivero chooses vineyards that lie between 830 and 950 meters high. Here the soil is stony and with a high lime content. The extreme atmospheric conditions result in full-bodied wines, which develop further during barrel aging. This wine has aged for 12 months in barrels. 70% French oak and 30% American oak.
About the manufacturer
Valderivero tells the story of a dedicated family in the wine business. Since 1899, the Rivero family has cultivated the quality of their wines. From the very beginning in 1899, the family has been a role model with their DOC Rioja wines.
Over the years and with the fourth generation in the family, they have worked to explore more wine qualities and have thus discovered the huge potential that lies in Spain’s other wine regions.
For several years, the family has been looking for areas in Ribera del Duero that fit in with the family’s philosophy. Valderivero is the essence of the character of a region enclosed by the Duero.

A wine that smells fine of green leaves and pure licorice, and has a very delicious full and spicy taste. It is a wine in perfect balance, with backbone and character and with a suitable tannic bite at the end.
