Tomatin 2008 Palo Cortado

A 15-year-old malt whisky from Tomatin. Matured for 12 years in bourbon casks, followed by a 3-year finishing period in Palo Cortado sherry casks.
Bottled at 46%, non-chill filtered, and with no added color.

Aroma
Aromas of honey caramel and dried oranges. Candied fruit, aged wood, and hazelnuts.

Taste
Milk chocolate, roasted fruit, and nuts… Syrupy sweetness, light tannins, and flambéed blackberries.

Finish
Complex and long-lasting. Black tea, ginger, and caramel (reminiscent of classic Danish “labre larver” candy)… Over time, notes of red fruits and lightly charred oak emerge.
