About the Product
Previously released under the name “Founder’s Reserve,” The Harvest is a unique blend of Single Malt and Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey. The former makes up about 70%, while the latter accounts for approximately 30%.
The whiskey has an alcohol content of 40%.
Tasting Notes
On the nose, the bottle presents delightful spice, along with a juicy, fruity note of ripe peaches.
The Pot Still whiskey is clearly evident with its characteristic spice, unfolding alongside unmistakable notes of dark chocolate. Finally, the bourbon cask influence becomes apparent, delivering vanilla and sweet caramel, particularly prominent in the finish.

However, due to a series of long-lasting issues such as famine, Prohibition, and an unwillingness to adapt to a changing market, the Irish whiskey industry suffered a gradual yet devastating collapse, leaving only two active distilleries in operation across the entire island by 1970!
Fortunately, the tide is (finally) turning for Irish whiskey, with many new distilleries springing up across the island. Founded in 1999 by husband-and-wife team Bernard and Rosemary Walsh, Walsh Whiskey aims to lead this Irish whiskey renaissance. The Irishman is a masterful series, primarily consisting of Irish Single Malt. In classic Irish style, all products are triple-distilled. This simply means that after the usual second distillation, the whiskey is distilled one more time, resulting in a lighter and more rounded flavor.
