Rémy Martin V.S.O.P 70 CL 40%

Cognac Fine Champagne – France

Originally created in 1927, VSOP developed into the VSOP mature Cask Finish in 2012. Rémy Martin VSOP Mature Cask Finish is the perfect harmony of powerful and elegant aromas.

NOSE
Dominant notes of vanilla thanks to longer storage in French limousin barrels followed by mature Apricot, baked apple and elegant flowers.

TASTE
A perfect harmony between the solid nature of mature fruit and subtle notes of licorice, offering a great complexity of elegant and powerful aromas.

Body
Well balanced, structured and multilaged. The roundness and fruity banknotes are improved by a 1-year finishing period in small oak dishes over 20 years.

Rémy Martin VSOP mature Cask Finish is composed of Eaux-de-vie, which comes exclusively from the vineyards of Cognac, Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne. Eaux-de-vie offers an unusual aging potential and is known as Cognac Fine Champagne.

In 1927, Rémy Martin’s Basingsman André Renaud created the very first VSOP Fine Champagne – a really visionary and bold decision. This prestigious designation was officially recognized 11 years later as an AOC (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée – a specific growth area protected by French law).

In 2012, Rémy Martin launched a new expression of its iconic VSOP for Europe: Mature Cask Finish is characterized by a one-year post-treatment period in small oak over 20 years.

Rémy Martin VSOP Mature Cask Finish won a gold medal in 2012 Spirits Business Cognac Masters (UK) and a gold medal at ISW 2013 (Germany).
