Summer Whites is the wine case for anyone looking for six fresh, inviting and food-friendly white wines for long lunches, dinners and bright summer evenings. It brings together citrus, floral notes, minerality, juicy fruit and a softer Chardonnay with more body and roundness.
The case moves from light and refreshing Vinho Verde and aromatic Sauvignon Blanc to classic Riesling, textured Chenin Blanc and fuller Chardonnay. The result is a summery and varied selection that works just as well with seafood, grilled fish and salads as it does with chicken, mild cheeses and lightly spiced dishes.
A lively and characterful Chenin Blanc with notes of peach, pear, pink grapefruit, citrus blossom and a lightly stony minerality. The palate is juicy and textured, with fresh acidity and lovely length, making the wine both charming on its own and highly versatile with food. It pairs especially well with grilled fish, chicken, creamy salads, mild cheeses and dishes with a touch of spice. The wine comes from Swartland and gains its balance of freshness and structure through fermentation and ageing in a combination of large foudres, concrete, stainless steel and older French oak barrels.
A dry, slender and brilliantly fresh Vinho Verde with notes of citrus, white flowers and a small uplifting spritz. The style is light, clean and summery, with low alcohol and fine acidity that make the wine very easy to enjoy. It is perfect for seafood, grilled fish, salads and simple summer dishes where freshness matters more than weight. The wine is produced in Minho in northern Portugal and is made mainly from Loureiro together with Trajadura and Arinto.
A fresh and approachable Sauvignon Blanc with notes of citrus, grapefruit and green fruit. The palate is soft yet refreshing, with fine fruit and a clean finish that makes the wine very useful throughout the summer season. It pairs very well with fish, seafood, salads, goat cheese and other light dishes where lemon and herbs are welcome. The wine ferments at controlled temperature to preserve the grape’s pure fruit and fresh expression.
An aromatic and refreshing white wine with floral notes, citrus and fresh green fruit in a light and lively style. It has plenty of energy and clear summer character, perfect when you want something fresh, simple and delicious without compromising on charm. It pairs well with seafood, salads, lighter fish dishes, sushi and as an aperitif. The wine is a blend of Colombard and Sauvignon Blanc, cold-fermented in stainless steel tanks and then aged on tank with its lees until bottling.
A fresh and classic Riesling from Alsace with notes of citrus, green and golden apples, white flowers and a light petrol note that adds character. The palate is clean, harmonious and dry, with fine acidity and good length, making it both easy to appreciate and highly food-friendly. It pairs especially well with prawns, fish and seafood dishes, Asian food with chilli or ginger, and classic choucroute. The wine comes from Cave du Roi Dagobert, a modern cooperative in Alsace focused on showing Riesling’s clean, fresh and regional character.
A rounded and generous Chardonnay that gives the case a little more body and sun-ripened fruit. Expect notes of citrus, yellow fruit, peach and a soft, lightly creamy texture that makes the wine both inviting and useful with food. It is a good match for grilled chicken, fish with butter or creamy sauce, seafood pasta, mild cheeses and slightly richer summer dishes. In the case, it works as the fuller option, perfect when you want a white wine with more body while still keeping a sense of freshness.
