Mortlach 15 Years G&M Distillery Labels 70 cl. 46%
Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Gordon & MacPhail Distillery Labels Mortlach 15 Years Old is a Scottish single malt whiskey from one of Speyside’s most popular distilleries. The style of Mortlach is full and fruity, and this bottling from Gordon & MacPhail does not hide the big fruit notes. The series “Distillery Labels” pays tribute to the bottler’s long collaboration with the distillery, and especially in this case we understand that the relations are good! G&M has delivered some of the most legendary Mortlach bottlings over the years.
Colour: Golden
Aroma: Fresh and malty aroma with an elegant sherry touch; toffee, sweet licorice and orange marmalade.
Tasting notes: Soft but rich taste of chocolate, cherry and blackcurrant jam. Creamy vanilla notes move into the malty and citrusy finish.
Serving suggestion: Should be enjoyed neat.
Gordon & MacPhail are to the noble single malt what Lennon & McCartney are to pop music. For more than 100 years, they have insisted on jumping over where the fence is highest. The inherited sense of selecting the absolute best casks from a wide range of distilleries is practiced today as it was 100 years ago. Once the dish is selected, it is transported to G&M’s warehouse in Elgin. Here the cask is looked after and cared for along with thousands of other selected casks until that day in the future, be it five, ten or fifty years down the line, when the whiskey has reached its zenith. Only here are the precious drops bottled.
