This single malt whiskey has been distilled and matured during the burning sun in Tel Aviv, Israel. On the distillery estimates that the whiskey ripens 2-2.5 time faster than in Scotland, just due to the high heat. That is, M & H’s three year old whiskey can be compared to a six to eight years old Scottish whiskey. Milk & Honey Distillery started in 2012 and is Israel’s first whiskey distillery.
Their Milk & Honey Classic Single Malt Whiskey is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon dishes as well as Rødvinsfade treated with the STR method. “Str” standing for shaving, toasting and re-charring, and is a treatment like “revives” dish, and creates maximum extraction from the dish.
Milk & Honey Classic Single Malt Whiskey is tapped at 46% Alcohol, and offers a delicious, soft and welcoming scent and taste. The taste notes are characterized by vanilla, honeymelon, light spices, oak, citrus and dried fruits. There is no doubt at all that the Israeli Milk & Honey Distillery, in their production, has a skeleton of the Scottish whiskey production, for this oozing well-made, Scottish whiskey.
The whiskey does not contain caramel color, is not chill filtered and contains great 46% alcohol.
