Manufacturing
Production begins with carefully selected vineyards in the enchanting and sunny Marlborough, which stretches out into southern New Zealand. This exceptional area is famous for creating the perfect growing conditions for Pinot Noir grapes, and this is clearly reflected in the sublimely seductive nature of the wine. The climate, soil and topography of these magical surroundings play a decisive role in shaping the exquisite quality of the grapes. The harvest is carried out with exceptional care, where only the most extraordinary grapes are selected for winemaking. After the harvest, the grapes are subjected to a graceful crushing, where the juice and grape skins are united in a harmonious symphony. This process, known as maceration, not only helps extract color and flavor from the grape skins, but also adds a subtle complexity and depth of nuance to the wine that can only be achieved through careful handling.
CO2 – Environmentally friendly
Transport of wine in bulk from the country of origin to bottling in Denmark constitutes a significantly reduced CO2 load compared to wine imported in bottles. In recognition of the reduced CO2 footprint, but also the assurance of the wine’s quality as well as the economic advantages of transporting wine in bulk, bulk wine forms an ever-increasing part of our business.
