Glen Scotia – 9 Years Campbeltown Malts Festival 2025 Ltd. Ed. 70 cl. 54,3
Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Glen Scotia 9 Years Campbeltown Malts Festival 2025 is a bold and complex single malt whisky, specially crafted for the 2025 edition of the Campbeltown Malts Festival. Distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2025, it has spent nine years maturing – initially in first-fill bourbon casks and finished for five months in Spanish Ribera del Duero red wine casks. The result is a rich and powerful whisky combining smoky intensity, dark berry sweetness and coastal salinity.
On the nose, it reveals creamy vanilla, maritime salt and robust peat smoke. The palate offers layers of smoky malt, blackberry, liquorice and a luscious, oily mouthfeel. The finish is long, velvety and gently spicy with lingering salty smoke.
Glen Scotia Distillery, founded in 1832, is one of only three remaining distilleries in the historic whisky town of Campbeltown on Scotland’s west coast. Once home to over 30 distilleries, Campbeltown was considered the whisky capital of the world. Glen Scotia preserves that legacy with traditional production methods and a distinct regional character marked by coastal influence, oiliness and subtle fruit tones. The distillery produces both peated and unpeated styles, and this festival release showcases their bold peated expression at its finest.
Bottled at cask strength (54.3%), non-chill filtered and with natural colour.
