Straight Bourbon Whiskey

FEW Spirits has collaborated with several bands to create special whiskies, and the Smashing Pumpkins edition is no exception. Both Smashing Pumpkins and FEW are Chicago institutions, and their collaboration has resulted in a truly unique whiskey.
Instead of diluting the whiskey with water, as is normally done, they used “midnight rose tea” from the band’s guitarist and singer, Billy Corgan’s own tea business, Madam ZuZu’s. The tea is a black tea flavored with rose petals and was used to reduce the cask strength whiskey (around 65%) down to 46.5% ABV. Highly unusual, but incredibly delicate!
Color: Amber
Aroma: Intense aromas of warm spices, caramel, rosewater, and black tea.
Tasting notes: Floral and spicy flavors with a well-balanced sweetness and power. The influence of the tea is clearly noticeable but never overpowers the whiskey. A fun and exciting whiskey experience!
Serving suggestion: Enjoy neat or in cocktails – perhaps an Old Fashioned?
