Drambuie is a liqueur made from Scotch malt whisky, heather honey, a secret blend of herbs and spices. It is created from a secret recipe created for Prince Charles Edward Stuart by the Royal Apothecary in the 18th century. Charles Edward Stuart took a few drops every day for strength and vitality. “Drambuie” is Gaelic and means “the drink that satisfies”.
It offers a unique and complex taste experience of herbs such as saffron, anise and nutmeg, notes of some strong and sweet honey. It can be enjoyed neat, with ice cubes or in drinks and cocktails.
