Premium Aged Rum – Foursquare Distillery

Martin Doorly founded Rome labeled Doorly’s in the early 1920s. In 1992, Martin Doorly Space was purchased by RL Seale.

The distillery where Doorley is mixed and stored is Foursquare in Barbados – about 350 years old, and the oldest records suggest that the special Rome wine mill associated with the Molasse factory has been in production since 1730. The distillery was completely renovated in 1995, and today appears As a mix between history and the new technology. At the same time, the on-site rom has been declared 100% environment right.

In accordance with good Barbados tradition, no sugar has been added to cute the room. The distillation method with both pot style and column boiler and storage, ensures a natural sweetness and a rich taste.

Space has been produced on the island of Barbados for more than 300 years, but it was only from 1906, where the space Duty ACT was adopted that the industry developed, to what we know today. Before distilled upon the plantations, but the new law meant that the distillery should have a license in order to sell his bulk-Rome. Many dealers in Bridgetown, including Martin Doorly & Co becoming tapping, and growth began. Martin Doorly developed to Doorly’s Macaw room and became the first bottle-Rome exported from the island.

Doorley’s XO is the house’s premium room – a mix of Rome there are 6 to 12 years old. When the mixture is made, the storage in Spanish ex Oloroso Sherry Fade.

This new version of Doorly’s classic XO is a little higher in percent, namely at 43. This gives the row a little more spice, and a sharper sensation in the mouth, and also works more oiled in the mouth.

Richard Seale comment: “43% IS THE STANDARD IN BARBADOS. When we First Came to the UK, To Compete We Reduced IT to 40%. That was A Mistake That Has Now Been Corrected.”
