DICTADOR SINFONIA RUM 43% Pardo Vintage 1999 is a truly complex rum.
The Sinfonia series, together with the Libreto series, are the latest special launches from Master Blender Hernan Parra. Each bottle is aged in American oak, and some have been finished in either Sherry casks or Port wine casks. It is vintage rum and single cask from the best drawer. Find your own favorite!
The Pardo Vintage 1999 edition with its 43% has a nose of tropical mango, with hints of oak. There are notes of freshly ground coffee, sweet black tea, and a bit of ginger. There is sweet toffee, cardamom and red (pink) pepper. In the mouth there are notes of slightly flambéed pancake, fig leaves, dates and notes of thyme. Hints of pineapple and a note of almost burnt stoneware, which turns into more tropical fruits with a hint of vanilla and yuzu. There is a long finish with sweet iced tea, white chocolate and bourbon oak notes.
