Freshness, purity and a delicate expression of Priorat – Mas d’en Gil’s Bellmunt Blanc represents the lighter and more approachable side of this prestigious region. Crafted primarily from Garnacha Blanca, complemented by small amounts of Macabeo and Viognier, it reveals how Priorat’s rugged terroir can also deliver white wines of finesse and clarity.
The vineyards are planted on the region’s signature llicorella soils (slate), which provide both minerality and a striking aromatic profile. The Mediterranean climate, tempered by the Garbinada wind from the sea, allows the grapes to retain their freshness while developing subtle layers of flavour during a slow ripening period.
In the glass, Bellmunt Blanc offers aromas of white flowers, citrus zest and stone fruits, alongside delicate hints of Mediterranean herbs and a gentle saline note. On the palate it is vibrant, crisp and well-balanced, with a mineral-driven backbone that carries through to a clean, lingering finish.
This is a wine that combines the power of Priorat with a graceful, almost Burgundian elegance – a true reflection of Mas d’en Gil’s philosophy of purity and authenticity.
Enjoy it at around 10–12°C, either on its own or as a beautiful match with grilled fish, seafood risotto, or fresh goat cheese.
