Production Balestino is made 100% from the small, thick-skinned Tempranillo grape, which is the dominant grape in the major Spanish regions of La Mancha, Rioja, and Ribera del Duero. The grapes are harvested fully ripe in September and October, and immediately brought to the winery. Upon arrival, the grapes are lightly pressed before undergoing controlled fermentation at 26-28 degrees for 7-9 days in large stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine rests in steel tanks before being bottled and released to the market.
About the producer Balestino produces traditional Spanish wines with power and elegance. Balestino’s wines are proud ambassadors of Spanish wine.
