Adriatico Amaretto Bianco is a unique take on the almond liqueur Amaretto. This version is almost reminiscent of a milk-based liqueur, but it contains no lactose – instead, it is made from crushed almonds, a la almond milk. It gives a nice combination of fullness and lightness, and the floral almond notes are really allowed to shine. This Amaretto Bianco also contains slightly less alcohol, and with its 16% is a versatile cocktail ingredient – although it certainly also makes a nice “neat” or over ice.
Colour: Milk white.
Aroma: Almonds, vanilla and floral hints of honeysuckle and orange blossom.
Tasting notes: Creamy and silky with balanced sweetness and delicious almond notes.
Serving suggestion: Enjoy it neat, over ice with a twist of orange or in cocktails.
Adriatico is a revolution in amaretto! We have waited a long time for a showdown with the slightly too sweet and artificial-tasting variant, which for many years has been glued to the shelves of the Danish wine merchants. Amaretto Adriatico is made entirely from natural ingredients, without added aromas. The almonds come from Puglia in southern Italy and are gently roasted before being macerated in spirit and distilled. A pinch of sea salt adds the finishing touch. This classic version is accompanied by a slightly lighter variant, an amaretto bianco, which is made from almond milk and has a lower alcohol percentage. Both versions can be enjoyed neat or unfolded in a multitude of cocktails, for which you can get inspiration here.
