The maturation is a vatting of whisky drawn from refill sherry casks and bourbon casks. That combination keeps the whisky fruit-led and balanced: bourbon casks contribute vanilla, gentle sweetness and a creamy roundness, while the sherry casks add structure, dried-fruit depth and a slightly darker edge without becoming heavy or sticky.
On the nose you’ll often find sultanas and cherries, followed by soft vanilla and a touch of sweet oak. With a little air, the fruit can turn juicier—moving toward apricot and berries—while a warm malty base holds everything together. The palate is fruity and well-knit: light sweetness and malt up front, then more dried fruit and gentle spice, before oak tightens the frame just enough. The finish is medium-long, leaving fruit, light spice, and a pleasantly dry oak note that adds elegance.
