Laurent-Perrier Millésimé Brut Vintage 2015 is a vintage Champagne crafted exclusively from grand cru fruit – around 50% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and 50% Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims. It spent more than seven years ageing on its lees before disgorgement and is bottled as a Brut with a dosage of about 8 g/l. This is a structured yet refined wine that captures both the power and elegance of the 2015 vintage in the Laurent-Perrier style.
Nose
The colour is white-gold with very fine, persistent bubbles. The bouquet is complex and expressive, showing:
candied lemon and ripe citrus
beeswax, honey, honeysuckle and hawthorn
fresh brioche, toasted bread and light almond notes
hints of orange and subtle spice
Palate
On the palate, the wine is dry, creamy and focused:
a bright, vibrant attack with citrus, white peach and stone fruit
silky mousse and delicate brioche and nutty nuances
chalky minerality giving tension and precision
an elegant balance between Chardonnay’s acidity and Pinot Noir’s depth
The finish is long and mouth-watering, with lingering notes of peach, mirabelle, citrus zest and a faint saline touch.
Serving & food pairing
Serve well chilled at 8–10 °C in a fine Champagne flute or white-wine style Champagne glass. Ideal with:
scallop carpaccio
sea bass or other white fish with herbs
roast chicken or veal with a lemon-based sauce
soft to semi-hard cheeses
Delicious now, but with excellent potential to age and gain further complexity over the coming years.
