St. Antony Wermut 75 cl. 16,8%

Weingut St. Antony – Germany

St. Antony Wermut is a red German vermouth that stands out thanks to its distinctly wine-led backbone: it’s built on a Blaufränkisch base, adding depth, dark fruit and a more “vinous” structure than many classic vermouths. The style is dry, aromatic and complex, with a clear, appetite-opening bitterness that makes it equally at home as an aperitif or as a serious cocktail ingredient.

Its profile is shaped by a broad range of botanicals. Wormwood forms the classic vermouth core, while citrus (grapefruit, lemon and orange peel) brings lift and freshness. Botanicals such as juniper, coriander, chamomile, cocoa, cinnamon, anise and cedar add spicy depth and layered complexity. Part of the sweetness is rounded off with honey, giving a softer, more seamless mouthfeel without turning the expression heavy.

In the glass it comes across dark and aromatic, with citrus oils, herbs and spice on the nose. The palate is intense and multi-layered: a bittersweet balance, herbal tension and a long, dry, gently spicy finish that invites another sip.

Serving
Enjoy well chilled over ice with an orange twist (optionally a touch of grapefruit), or use it in vermouth-forward cocktails: Negroni variations, Americano, Boulevardier, or as a spiced twist in a Manhattan.

St. Antony Wermut is made by Weingut St. Antony in Nierstein, Rheinhessen—a modern quality-driven estate rooted in the region’s distinctive vineyards and focused on freshness, precision and terroir character. Alongside their wines, they approach vermouth with the same winemaker mindset: a serious wine base, clearly defined botanicals and a balanced style that works just as well at the bar as it does at the table.
